the bell at skenfrith, a fully restored former 17th century coaching inn on the banks of the river monnow, has eleven individually decorated bedrooms and is one of wales's finest restaurant with rooms. whether you are looking for a peaceful few days in the country away from it all, a romantic escape or walks in some wild, totally unspoiled welsh countryside, then this is the place for you. visit wales and the aa have awarded the bell five stars and the restaurant, which uses produce from our own organic kitchen garden, two aa rosettes. the bell was voted michelin pub of the year for great britain and ireland in 2007 every year we give the bell a thoroughly good spring clean so we are closed until friday 12 february in time for st. valentine's weekend. of course we will still be taking bookings and picking up messages so don't hesitate to call us.
